Hi All

Yay 6 months today....but I don’t have time to lay about feeling great about myself. Reese and Leanne are close behind me and breathing down my neck...lol. But I am proud of how well we have all done so far....next big celebration will be 12 months quit. Can’t wait for that one. Thanks everyone who kept me on my game, especially Red67 who’s advice and common sense approach to quitting was priceless.

Go you good thing Robn and yes Reesie and I are happily sticking with you on the good track LOL Awesome achievement Robn and you yourself have been very inspirational to many. There is many great milestones to come now and doesn't it just add that bounce to your step each day knowing that we did it😊

You bet it does Leeann, the further away from that last smoke that I get. Don’t look back....I won’t.

A super achievement Robin. You should be very proud of yourself. I find myself wandering sometimes why I was hooked to smoking in the first place but unlike in my previous quits I don’t want to find out. Not one puff ever. All the best.

Thanks Safe2017, yes it is so easy now to see how smoking took over our lives. It really is that light bulb moment, when all of a sudden you can see it all for what it really is..... like you, I really can’t fathom why I ever smoked for so long, but I definitely will never smoke again. I truly love being a non smoker. All the best to you also.

    Wow ! Great ! Go you :)
I have been out of town, sorry I missed your 6 month post..
All I did, was provide a thought process. You did it.. Good job !
    Red :)

Hi Red, how are you? Without that thought process, that YOU provided, I would have failed just like every other quit attempt. Your simple advice made me really change my thinking towards smoking and quitting, and thanks to you my friend, it is now just something I used to do in another life. You have helped me more than you know, so again thank you so very much...now go have a bourbon to celebrate...lol.

    Hello All.

I am new to this sight. I do agree that Red-67 is spot on.. I joined another site and no one seems to get it. You would all do well to follow Red. I too quit with the same mindset. and do have an interesting story to tell. I am a Happy Non-Smoker of 12 days with no cravings at all now (cold turkey) I smoked over a pack a day / 45 years. Mind is Key. Knowledge is Power. Believe and you will be free!

That's great news! I'm 4.5 months. I'm not far off my 6 month anniversary myself. :)

191 days ago was my last smoke (6 months 11 days). I still occasionally pick up Allan Carrs' book as this been a great help. My Fiance and I have these great friends who smoke. We all went to the movies to see "Bohemian Rapsody" (Gret Flick), it is funny to be at the other side of smoking and seeing them rush out at the end of a great movie to put that stuff in their system. Thank god I have the willpower.
