I am grateful to my daughter, who has been a pillar of unconditional support and who patiently bore the brunt of my mood swings (I am NOT PROUD of this, I apologise once again my baby), yet congratulated me every time we came back from a fun outing, party or gathering without me having smoked. Family and friend support is very important, when the chips are down, they make you realise that you are strong and you can do it. Tomorrow I celebrate one year of not smoking and I am so chaffed about it. It is a year that I have experienced all different types of emotions, feeling of sadness, depression, joy, happiness, desperation to smoke, drooling not over a man, but someone else's smoke, but I survived. I hope I am in a position to share a positive story like this one, same time next year.

To all those wonderful people who are trying to quit or have quit already, hang in there you can do it. To all of their family and friends help them out by acknowledging their efforts, believe me it would mean a lot to them.

Congratulations on such an important milestone, and also the realization that your achievement was part of support that was provided.

Good morning Geo, my Saturday was perfect!!! The reason, my daughter booked me in at a Spa as a reward for completing one year... I was so chaffed.
I am doing very well in handling the craving which is not so much if I am not around smokers. I was at Sibiya Casino yesterday in the smokers section, I really had some pangs there... but I was good, I just turned the other way. I thank you asking about my day, that was very nice of you. I hope you are well and that you have a fantastic day or are having a fantastic day.

Congratulations! I just decided on the 23rd February that was it, no more cigarettes! Financial reasons were probably my biggest incentive. I look at the amount of money I have saved in such a short time and I’m disgusted with myself!
I can’t wait to say I’ve made it to a year too!

Thank you Jenny. Financial reasons, could turn out to be the saviour of your life there... it is always good to have a reason behind why we do certain things or take certain decisions. I wish you all the best in your venture to reach your first year, smoke free... you know you can do it, and I support you 120% if not more. Message me when ever you need to chat and I will always encourage you to go further in your venture... as I work my way towards year two, I will remember your first... good luck Jenny, you can do it.
