Stopped smoking 5th September 2018 after being diagnosed with emphysema. What can I say, health improved regardless of my medical condition, don't smell of smoke anymore and the financial savings are enormous. My wife continued to smoke and has just recently quit, about 4 months now, so proud of her, going cold turkey like I did. Still love the smell but will never go back to it again, even after smoking for 42 years. Best of luck for those starting the journey, you can do it.

I love these wonderful heart warming posts

I am so glad to hear that you are doing so well Wassa58 and that you can be delighted to have your wife on the journey with you. Life as a non-smoker certainly is not what we expected is it? If we had only done this years ago imagine the savings and how much healthier we would be. We could not imagine how much freedom we could have and the confidence we restored by quitting smoking. We faced our fear and won!

There is more to fear by not quitting smoking than by doing so, yet so many don't believe that they can. We are proof that even us 40 plus year heavy smokers can finally come to our senses.

A wonderful post to await me since coming back from my exile. Apparently ICanQuit in Australia chose to close its doors to the outside world for whatever reason. Can I pass Covid via web? I missed you all and I trust that my friends are doing well.
