Hi team,

Try to 'not' be fooled into having one puff. Its just poison and just one puff can ignite the whole addiction process into action all over again. If you are lucky enough to class yourself as a social smoker? You probably wouldn't be on here, or would you?

In my case, this is my last Quit.

Today is 106 weeks totally Quit!

Its similar to my previous successful Quit in my early forties of 2 and a bit years long. I was totally cured back then, I thought....Just one puff ruined that Quit.

I had a few false Quits of 100days here and 3 month's there, in-between etc. etc ....haha, hard work those ones, laughing now.

Now in my mid fifties, I intend to never be co-erced, controlled or tempted into, 'just one puff won't hurt'.

I will never entertain my mind into that debate ever again. I am too wise to ever fall for that trick again!

I Dont Smoke. Come H$ll or high-water!

yippee.

I am so proud of you PuffNoMore. We saw how difficult a time you were having, but you never stopped visiting the site. Instead you kept on learning and finding the belief in yourself.

I think this quit is different and you have learned so much to wear as armor. Why would anyone want to challenge the nicoman once free is beyond me. No debate makes you the winner and the master in control.

Life certainly is much better without the expense and worry of where we could smoke. More energy, more self- esteem and so many wonderful benefits. We stopped fearing and made up our minds to take back control.
We did it PuffNoMore and so can anybody. I certainly never thought that I ever would or could but I will be 1200 glorious days on Sunday.

I think this Quit is similar to a 2 and a half year long Quit in my early forties, because, like now, I feel totally cured from the addiction and the habit of smoking!
Like then, I find it so easy to live like a NON-Smoker.... However. My post here yesterday is a reminder to myself and others of how easy it can be to re-start the smoking, from just one puff!.
So yes Happiness, I will take my life wearing my suit of armour, due to learning and prior knowledge and repeating the same mistake of thinking. um. Surely one puff wont hurt>

    We did it Happiness.
And Celebrate those glorious 1200 days, until the roof lifts off!
    Thanks you. team.

    Hi puffnomore,
I relapsed very recently thinking it was ok. It’s not ok it’s very demoralising. And that’s all. Now I’m back onto not smoking and I’m just going to keep going this time.

Hi Puffnomore, Keith Richards recently quit the nasty himself. In an interview he said that quitting cigs was harder than quitting heroin. That's something. I am really proud of you for sticking with your quit. Good vibes to you my comrade-in-arms. Cheers
