Health is Wealth

I was mildly asthmatic till the age of 20 when I started smoking. Incidenrtly, the asthmatic symptoms went away around that time. Led me sowhere in my mind foolishly believing that somehow smoking has suppressed my Asthma. Not that I didn't recognize that smoking is very dangerous and bad for health.

I smoked for the next 12 years (till Dec 2022). In the last 1 year of smoking, I was coughing phlegm. During this year I was realizing more and more that I need to quit thinking that my health might detoriate. On 27th Dec I got high fever which continued for 5 days with other symptoms like cough, cold, body pain, weakness etc. I recovered on 1st Jan. I couldn't even think of smoking because of this. During this time I also decided this is the perfect opportunity to quit. Cut to today, I have not smoked for 77 days. I feel down, anxious, nervous, fidgety, irriated many times, and lack concentration at work and have lesser sharp memory, but I am going through it all, just to ensure that my health is good in future.

I want to travel as much in this life, and quitting smoking will help me in having the right body to do so (and more money of course).
