6 years quit yesterday

A reminder popped up yesterday that it's been 6 years since my last puff. At one time, I was 100% certain that I'd never be able to quit. Proved myself wrong. The two most important things I had to do was to convince myself that a) NOPE (not one puff ever) is the only way to go and b) in my mind, I had to convince myself that I am not a smoker anymore.

In the end, the benefits are great and definitely exceed temporary pain of quitting. 1) Money saved, 2) No more smoker's cough, 3) No nasty smell on my clothes or when I breath, 4) No more panic attacks "Oh my gosh I am running out of cigs, it's a late night and the store is about to close", 5) I am a bad example to my kids., 6) List goes on.

Good luck to everyone. Believe in yourself and you can succeed. Cheers

Thanks so much for sharing your story. This is helpful to know that quitting can be achieved and you have stuck with it. Congratulations. I hope I can follow in your footsteps.
