Hello friends, I am finally putting in an appearance after a busy summer and hope to find you all content with your quits and doing well.

I see many new members and hope I may assist in them also reaching their goal of being a Happy Non-Smoker. Happy is the key to success. Your frame of mind and how you view this journey can determine how quickly you can achieve this CHOICE you have made for yourself and how quickly you can EMBRACE this change. I did it very easily compared to most because this time I BELIEVED I could do it, rather than thinking negatively as in past attempts. Many have quit smoking and there is no reason why anybody can't do the same.

I quit before reading Allan Carr , but I recommend that all read his book which has helped many find the MINDSET to not only quit, but to stay quit permanently. It is almost 4 years for me come November, and I do NOT miss it one bit. I enjoy the freedom from it immensely, the extra money and the pride and confidence I feel

Short but sweet since the site froze my keyboard at that point. Stay positive and you will succeed. Regretfully, the link to Allan Carr that I used to post no longer works. Savings from quitting smoking will cover any cost to obtain this, or get it from your library. Best to all. You CAN succeed.

And Holy Moly, it is almost 5 years ago that I made this wonderful decision. Just another milestone to mark the beginning of a new era. I don't think about "quitting smoking" anymore, it is in the past where it belongs.

Although I'm a newbie to escaping the Nicotine trap, I swear by Allan Carr's book Easyway,
Six days down on my 7th quit cold turkey, for 44 years I have been fighting this addiction on and off. I don't know what damage ol Nico has done but I embrace every day as though it's my last. It's all mindset, the key to tossing those cigarettes away attitude, you have to believe you can do it-yes self belief.
