1399 days of freedom

To all those doubting their ability to quit and also those wining the battle, if I can do it cold turkey I hope you can too. 1399 days and counting. Just like this milestone, tomorrow will be another one. Felt exactly the same after day 1 and then day 2 etc. One foot after the other. Move forwards and hopefully not backwards. Such a good feeling to listen to one's inner positive thoughts and not to err. Not always easy for anyone but saying NO is a good start, however one does it.

    Congrats Lia,
Excellent achievement. Only those who experienced the withdrawal pains associated with quitting know how hard it is both from physical and mental aspects. Well done and never forget that a full blown addiction is only one puff away. Cheers.

Hi Lia. My, another milestone that we all hope we can someday celebrate as well. I am sure many here will, as we learn about the addiction and ways to change our lives as not to miss it. Once experiencing the freedom, it is inconceivable to me why people would even want to tempt fate and slavery again. Again, though, we are human and have our weak moments so i don't judge.

Congratulations again on a great quit . Thanks for your inspiration and words of wisdom !

I'm on about attempt 40 in the last few years. Remembering that it is one day at a time is vital in the mindset.
    Thanks!

I haven't been back here for so long but was glad to find your name. I am about three months off foutyears and rfar's a thrill. It was all down to that early support on this website. Congratulations - what an achievement! Well done.
