This addiction is actually helping me stop other addictions too!

its important to keep an online journal so you can always look inside and see how long you have quit, this gives you strength on a challenging day, it gives you a pat on the back and this will make you the ultimate winner!! Thanks God for this great community!!

And welcome to the community David.ostin. Making up your mind to quit is the biggest step!

Researching the addition and understanding it, reading stories and the comments here help to gleen some insight. Being ready for what is to come rather than fearing it, and gaining the belief that you can also be free from this nasty addiction is all so very powerful arsenal for you to have.

You most certainly Can Quit Smoking.... and knowledge is power!

Congratulations on taking the first step and we hope you will share your story and inspire others on.

Welcome David, I agree with your approach on a journal it helps you to hone in on the positives and negatives without holding it inside and churning things around and around. It does help you to deal with other addictions or other situations where you are constantly at odds with yourself.

You eventually feel a lot happier within yourself, that you are dealing with things in a positive manner. Anyway which brings you closer to quitting for good is the best way. NOPE (not one puff ever)
