I quit smoking on 24th April 2021. I'm on NRT ....at times it's hard to keep focus ....I'd be glad if anyone could share how they're rewarding themselves for staying off smoking over short and long run....any tips on the types of rewards that u guys are giving yourselves....till this date I haven't smoked a single cigarette....I'm on gum and I'm doing pretty well till now....I need some encouragement from people to carry on with this long term...

I found the pride and belief in myself and benefit of breathing easier rewards in themselves. You did not specify your gender although you may enjoy treating yourself to rewards such as a manicure, a new purse or simply a dinner out, ticket to an event or buying a frivolous object with money saved. Larger items for long term commitment might be a vacation, a car, or a down payment on a home.

I hope you will read posts and learn the mindset to ease the way. Positive thinking and a true desire to quit smoking makes quitting smoking much easier. We can quit smoking when we really want to.

Welcome and congratulations Madhh, As Happiness has said a belief in yourself is the crux of quitting, I did eventually learn that NOPE (not one puff ever) said every day was the mental help I needed to think of long term.. This works if you really want it to, the new purpose of learning from everyone who posts kept me on my toes.

Rewards are personal it is up to you. I even tried Gold Stars, but as said NOPE (not one puff ever) kept me motivated to continue.

Enjoying saving your money into separate accounts was another incentive. I made one account for something that I love to do, but is expensive to keep up. I am happy to achieve these goals much better than moaning about not having any money for anything even paying my bills. This has kept me happy and less anxious every time a bill came due. Keep reading and posting whenever you like.
