Good morning I’m currently at 6months since my last smoke after 37years of smoking, the biggest thing I have realised is it is a massive completely different life now. For 37years every day i smoked i couldn’t go anywhere without my smokes always have to have that last smoke before i go into the shops etc. it actually controlled everything i did every hour of every day. Now 6 months on guess what smoking no longer controls every thing i do it hasn’t for 6months now. it is a completely different life a whole new way of living life.

My breathing is so much better I can actually regularly take in deeper breaths. especially noticed an improvement better after trying the cleanse drink suggested by Happiness, i have more energy , you don’t realise how much the smoking made your clothes stink of smoke until you stop smoking and smell someone else who smokes. i no longer plan where i can smoke when i go some where or sneak out for a smoke. and the biggest thing of all for me is the pay rose and the money i now can save. it is just huge positive difference now in my life.

Never give up trying to quit , always use this site and it’s history to keep you focused and determined on remaining quit. focus on the positives of being smoke and nicotine free. take it one day at a time, i set myself goals. first was stopping after two week second goal was remaining focused and positive when i stopped the medication and remaining quit, then 6months where I am at now. I keep reading all the journeys on here to keep me focused and positive.

Remember we all have tried several even hundreds of times to quit everyones journey is similar but different , try different methods that are suggested on here if at first you don’t succeed reflect and try again even try another method to help you quit. eventually you will find that method that positive determination . you will read it all the time on here how those who were heavy smokers succeeded are so very proud and surprised when they reach certain milestones in their journeys.

    Congratulations 2bfree for 6 months.
Good for you for continuing on to express your thoughts and feelings despite some trying to limit us. (heaven knows why, when we should be encouraged to relay our stories) Goes to show that when we WANT to do something, we find a way.
It certainly is wonderful to be free of not only the nicotine but the habit that ruled our lives for so long. I couldn.t agree with you more. I am pleased, if not surprised that you found even more benefit from my ginger/turmeric brew. I much enjoy my ginger turmeric, pepper and cinnamon in warm milk to relax and to enjoy
