It really is worth it.

Just popped in to say hello. 8 1/2 years quit now and very rarely think about smoking. Wonderful really considering my obsession with nicotine used to be 25/7. I quit here and at first it was not easy. After a few weeks it improved. Then , wow , one day I hadn’t thought of a cigarette. I smoked for 53 years. I was sick after my first cigarette but persisted because I wanted to be COOL.

Good luck to all.

Dobbin.

Hi Dobbin. I think of my Quit Buddy whenever I reach a milestone, be it over 3000 days smoke free or over $125 000 saved from the ash tray. It is good to know I am still 100 days ahead go you and you are enjoying life. Simple things like being able to breathe and enjoy taste of food are a bonus. After 8 years 9 months and 2 weeks, I now know it is the quitters who are the COOL bunch. 9 year anniversary coming up. Do stay in touch. Best wishes, always.

Hi Lia. Great to hear from you. It sometimes feels like just yesterday we touched base with ‘ our crowd ‘ and I feel so fortunate after 8 1/2 years to be still nicotine free and so much more happier. Yes 100 days ahead of me hasn’t changed and I really don’t see any reason why it should. Take care and keep breathing that wonderful oxygen

That is absolutely fantastic Dobbin. Hearing from others who have successfully quit helps keep me focussed and motivated on my own journey.

A BIG Congratulations to you Dobbs and to Lia and to all the others who have managed to be the new COOL. Life really is so much better without the cost, stress and negatives of smoking.
Is it always so nice to hear from past members who care to give incentive to the newbies. We are proof that anyone can quit smoking.
Hope to hear from you again on your 9th anniversary if not before!

Hi PRCJ and Happiness. I can still remember the day I had absolutely no urge or desire to smoke. If only those who are struggling realise it’s just over the hill for them. No more pressing the self destruct button.

Good morning Dobbin It is fantastic to see you Lia, puff no more and Happiness as well as the others that return on a regular basis i have read all your journeys when i first joined this site and continue to read now.
I’m currently at 6 months and i encourage any new on here to go back and read the journeys and advice that has be offered by all you who have shown you can succeed , the best thing about this site is you can go back on someones journey right back to the beginning and realise you were at the exact same point once before in your journey years ago that I am at currently at now
