Accessing quit support

Support from family and friends is important for people when they’re quitting vaping, and more support for them – and you – can improve their chances of success.

Encourage the person you’re supporting to look at what support options are available.

As a supporter, you might find it useful to talk to someone about what to expect.

Quitline (13 7848) can talk to you about what to expect when people are quitting. They can also provide suggestions for how to support someone.

If you’re supporting a young person to quit vaping, talking to a doctor may help too. They may be able to advise whether NRT can help, or other strategies that may be suitable.
